Details: Our soup kitchen at 241 Arch Street in New Britain provides lunch 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m., Monday through Friday to anyone in need; and three meals per day, seven days per week, to shelter residents and former residents. Staff and volunteers ensure that guests are served in a welcoming, friendly atmosphere. Emergency shelter and community kitchen are funded primarily by individual donors, arera congregations, civic organizations, special events and government, foundation and corporate grants. |

Program offers food and wraparound services including: Energy assistance, Income tax assistance, Employment, Job training, HUSKY enrollments. Pantry Hours: Monday: 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm, Wednesday: 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm, Saturday: 9:00 am - 1:00 pm. These services are offered free of charge to New Britain residents based on income. All information is kept strictly confidential. Walk-in during pantry hours and bring the following: Photo ID, Social Security cards for everyone in the household, Any bill, rent receipt or lease to prove you are a New Britain resident, Proof of income from the current year (any paystub) OR Your food stamp award letter |
